convalescence

This photographic exploration examines the contemplation found in stillness and forced rest—the desert experience of stepping away from life known.

With rolls of film left undeveloped, the resulting images convey raw, unfiltered moments collected over months spent in convalescence. It reveals the inner struggle to stop, to be, amidst the wrestling between motions and stillness. The photographs imprint a stream of subconscious vision, etching snippets of time in recovery’s liminal space.
